LEXINGTON, Va. – After putting on a show in a thrilling 1-0 victory over Radford last week, VMI Men's Soccer midfielder
Jesse Lee was named Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Lee lifted the Keydets to their first win over a D-I opponent in 2025 after scoring the game-winning goal midway through the first half against the Highlanders. This was Lee's first goal of the season. The weekly award is the first for a Keydet this season and the first in Lee's career.
With the triumph, VMI has secured a result over the same D-I opponent in three-straight seasons for the first time since 2012-14.
Lee and the Keydets hit the road to face St. Thomas in Minnesota today. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (ET), and will be broadcast live on The Summit League Network.
