LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Men's Soccer found two Keydets - senior
Timofey Dovgalyuk and junior
Conner Reid - on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team Tuesday afternoon, as announced by the CSC office.
The 2025 Academic All-District Men's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Nomination requirements include a sophomore or above academic standing, a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, and, in soccer, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
Dovgalyuk, an economics and business major, earns his first CSC academic honor after spending four seasons with the Keydets. The midfielder from Fairfax, Virginia, started and played in all 18 matches this season, collecting a career-high 1,453 minutes played. Dovgalyuk had a team-high 11 90-minute matches. He has also been named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll twice.
Reid, an economics and business major, collects his first CSC academic award with three years under his belt. The defender from Midlothian, Virginia, played in 15 matches, while starting in 13, to earn over 1,150 minutes. In three seasons, Reid has earned SoCon Academic Honor Roll honors twice and, in 2024, landed on the Commissioner's Medal list.
