LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Women's Soccer put up a fight against Furman at Patchin Field Sunday afternoon.
In their second Southern Conference match of the campaign, the Keydets (1-9-1, 0-2-0) held the Paladins (7-1-2) to no goals in the first frame, but fell 2-1 in a tight battle.

Mackenzie Hobik earning an assist, her second on the year.

- VMI answered quickly, drawing a foul for a free kick opportunity near the penalty box. Hobik placed a pass near the goal area that found the foot of Karsonovich to tie it at 1-1 (55:04).
- The Paladins' Norah Roller scored her second goal of the afternoon to put Furman up (62:10).
