VMI Track and Field opens outdoor season at Davidson

LEXINGTON, Va. – After an excellent indoor season, the VMI track and field teams kick off the 2025 outdoor season this weekend as the Keydets travel to the Davidson Relays hosted by Davidson College this Saturday, March 29.

The men's and women's teams look to build off the many successes from the indoor season which included individual titles at the SoCon Indoor Championships, multiple All-Conference finishes and several broken school records.

"This weekend at the Davidson Relays, our team officially opens the outdoor season after a well-earned three-week break, including time off for spring break. The goal for this meet is to shake off the rust, get back into competition mode and establish a strong foundation for the season ahead.
 
"We're looking forward to seeing our athletes compete hard, refine their performances and build momentum as we head into the heart of the outdoor schedule. This meet is about execution, effort and setting the tone for what's ahead.
