LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Baseball has released its entire 2026 schedule, including its Southern Conference series dates and the conference tournament.
With 34 non-conference games against 13 different opponents announced earlier in December, the Keydets will also have the challenging SoCon campaign beginning in late March.
VMI kicks off league play on the road against the reigning SoCon Champion East Tennessee State (March 27-29). After the battle with the Bucs, the Keydets return to Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium for their first home conference series against Wofford (April 2-4).
The following week will be a trek to Alabama to face Samford (April 10-12) before coming home to Lexington to host Western Carolina (April 17-19). After their bye week, the Keydets will be on the road for back-to-back SoCon series against UNC Greensboro (May 1-3) and Mercer (May 8-10).
Capping off conference action will be The Military Classic of the South, where VMI will host rival The Citadel in the season finale (May 14-16).
The SoCon Championship, hosted at Fluor Field in Greenville, South Carolina, will take place May 19-24. The league office will be releasing more information about the tournament at a later date.
