VMI falls to Catamounts in SoCon road contest

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The VMI women's soccer team fell by a 9-0 score to host Western Carolina in Southern Conference action Thursday night at Catamount Sports Complex in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
 
Emma Soucy put in the game-winning goal in the 14th minute (13:43) for the Catamounts before Isabella DeMarco earned a hat trick with three consecutive goals midway through the first half to go into halftime with a 4-0 lead for Western Carolina.
 
The Catamounts would go on to score five goals in the second half en route to the win.
