Keydets fall to Chattanooga on the road

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Playing in one of its final SoCon road contests of the season, the VMI women's soccer team fell by a 3-0 score to host Chattanooga Sunday afternoon at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
 
With the loss, the Keydets fall to 1-15-1, 0-8-0 while the Mocs improve to 9-4-4, 3-2-3 for the season.
 
Scoring Summary
*Chattanooga earned its game-winning goal early on when Quinn Johnson took a long shot from outside the goal box in the fifth minute (4:56) and sailed it past VMI keeper Maren Ryberg into the upper right corner of the net
*Johnson earned her first brace of the season when she added another goal in the 53rd minute (52:56) off an assist from Caroline Richvalsky
*Clarissa Salinas added one more score for Chattanooga off a penalty kick late in the match (81:11) for the final score of the game
