LEXINGTON, Va. – Saturday will be an exciting day at the VMI Rifle Range as the Keydets welcome top-ranked West Virginia, along with Mount Aloysius for a match in Kilbourne Hall. Only the mixed team for VMI will compete on Saturday.

VMI was in action two weeks ago against No. 18 North Georgia. The women posted a 4546 and the mixed a 4557
Individually,
Alexander Pohlman was the top finisher for VMI, posting an aggregate of 1152 which was good for fifth place overall. Wuyue Xie was just two spots behind Pohlman with an aggregate of 1149 and Zachary Mauriello posted a 1143 aggregate.
Scouting West Virginia
The Mountaineers have won a record 20 NCAA Rifle Championships, including 2025 after finishing as the runner up in 2024. West Virginia enters Saturday with the nation's best Smallbore average of 2355.5 and an Air Rifle average of 2389, which is second nationally. Griffin Lake currently paces the country with an aggregate average of 1193.
Scouting Mount Aloysius
The Mounties last competed against Morehead State on October 5, when they posted a score of 4538, a shade below their aggregate average of 4543. Molly Miller leads the team with an aggregate average of 1146.7, with Kayla Trinkle averaging 1143.3.
