Track and Field finishes strong at VT Invitational

BLACKSBURG, Va. – VMI men's track and field was well-represented on the second and final day of the Virginia Tech Invitational Saturday at Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Senior Keyandre Midgett earned a season-best distance in the triple jump with a mark of 14.53 meters.
 
Fellow senior Nick Brown logged a season-best in the 400 meter in 48.22 seconds.
 
In the pole vault, sophomore Cameron Thomas cleared an impressive height of 5.02 meters. He tried three attempts at 5.17 meters for a new personal best and school record but came up just short.  Last week at the VMI Team Challenge, he registered a school-record height of 5.10 meters.
