Track and Field to compete at Virginia Tech Invitational

LEXINGTON, Va. – Select members of the VMI men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the Virginia Tech Invitational Friday and Saturday at Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Virginia.
 
Five team members will compete this weekend including Shea Hart, Keyandre Midgett, Eleyah Armstrong, Cameron Thomas and Nick Brown.

The competition begins Friday at 5 p.m. with Eleyah Armstrong kicking off the weekend in the women's long jump and 60m dash. Shea Hart will compete in the women's 60m hurdles, and Keyandre Midgett will represent the program in the men's long jump.
 
On Saturday, Midgett returns to the runway for the triple jump, Cameron Thomas will compete in the pole vault seeded section, and Nick Brown will take the track in the 400m.
 
Many prominent Division I teams along the East coast will be in attendance to compete at the two-day event.
 
 
Friday
Eleyah Armstrong – women's long jump – 5 p.m.
Shea Hart – women's 60m hurdles – 6:20 p.m.
Eleyah Armstrong – 60m dash – 6:45 p.m.
Keyandre Midgett – men's long jump – 7 p.m.
 
Saturday
Cameron Thomas – pole vault – 1:45 p.m.
Keyandre Midgett – men's triple jump – 2 p.m.
