VMI Football vs. The Citadel to be broadcast on Nexstar

SoCon, Nexstar change from season finale

UPDATE**

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - After the Southern Conference announced its 2024 Nexstar lineup, the league altered its schedule to include VMI's contest against The Citadel on October 19 to be its "Game of the Week." This is a change from the regular-season finale against ETSU, which will now be broadcast only on ESPN+. 

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Southern Conference announced its 2024 Nexstar lineup on Tuesday, with VMI being featured in its regular-season finale at home against ETSU on November 23.
 
The game has officially been announced as a noon kickoff against the Bucs at Foster Stadium.
 
Seven SoCon squads will make at least one appearance over the course of the six-game broadcast schedule.
 
Nexstar football broadcast schedule (all times Eastern)
Aug. 29 – Presbyterian at Mercer, 7 p.m.
Sept. 7 – Campbell at Western Carolina, 1 p.m.
Sept. 14 – North Greenville at The Citadel, Noon
Sept. 28 – Portland State at Chattanooga, 7 p.m.
October 19 - The Citadel at VMI, 1:30 p.m.
Nov. 16 – Furman at ETSU, Noon
 
Each game in the Nexstar package will air concurrently on ESPN+ or ESPN3.
 
Nexstar affiliates with the opportunity to air games are: ECBD (Charleston), WMYT (Charlotte), WWCW (Lynchburg/Roanoke) and WYCW (Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville).
 
In addition, VMI Athletics recently announced that single-game tickets are now available for the 2024 football season and can be purchased through VMI's ticket partner, TicketReturn.
 
 
The Keydets open the 2024 season on the road against in-state opponent William & Mary at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, in Williamsburg, Virginia.
