VMI Men's Soccer and TOVO announce Partnership

LEXINGTON, Va. - VMI Men's Soccer announced on Monday that it has partnered with TOVO in an effort to continue its commitment to helping its cadet-athletes achieve success on the field of competition. This partnership will see TOVO founder Todd Beane collaborate with Head Coach Nick Regan to help VMI Men's Soccer implement an innovative, effective, and customized training methodology.

Founded by Todd Beane, TOVO is based upon sound pedagogical practices that encourage players to seek effective solutions with vision, precision, and pace. Beane has delivered training programs to pro clubs such as FC Barcelona, Ajax, Chivas Guadalajara, and Los Angeles FC.

TOVO Founder, Todd Beane said "Our main objective is to nurture players of intelligence, skill and character. This aligns well with VMI´s commitment to competing with honor. I am delighted to work with Coach Nick and to support the athletes of the men's soccer program."

VMI Head Coach, Nick Regan said "Partnering with TOVO is an incredible opportunity for our program. The TOVO methodology not only reinforces many of the principles we have been introducing here at VMI, but introduces new ideas and concepts that the coaching staff can introduce into our environment and give the players a unique resource. From my first call with Todd, it was clear that this project had tremendous potential to make an impact on the development of our athletes and our coaches alike."

The Keydets recently returned from a spring break trip to the United Kingdom. Whilst on the trip, VMI recorded a 3-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur's Academy, a 4-0 win against Bracknell Town, as well as a competitive 3-1 defeat at the hands of National League side Dorking Wanderers.

The fall 2023 season saw VMI post its best season in 17 years with two players being named on All-Conference teams of the year, in addition to two players being named SoCon players of the week, the first such recognition for VMI since 2002.

"We are heading into the summer with our heads held high. It has been a remarkable year on and off the field, a year our players will never forget. We can't wait to be back in August and create new memories." said Coach Regan.
