Keydets conclude Penn Relays with 4x800

PHILADELPHIA – The VMI women's track and field team finished the Penn Relays with excellent performances Saturday at UPenn's Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

VMI competed in the 4x800 collegiate race and placed 16th overall with a time of 9:52.40. The group competing included junior Gretal Shank and freshmen Olivia Hurd, Hannah Sisk and Evelyn Anderson.

Norfolk State came in first overall for the event in 8:52.12.

Select Keydets will compete at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier on Wednesday, May 1, seeking qualifying times and marks for the NCAA Southeast Regional in late May. The Southern Conference Outdoor T&F Championships are slated for May 6-7 hosted by Samford in Birmingham, Alabama.
