Midgett highlights final day of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – The VMI men's track and field team finished the Penn Relays with excellent performances Saturday at UPenn's Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
 
Senior long jumper Keyandre Midgett highlighted the day for VMI by placing seventh overall in the long jump with a distance of 6.91 meters, or 22' 8."
 
In the pole vault, freshman Cameron Thomas also performed well for the Keydets by placing 10th overall in the event with a height of 4.86 meters, or 15' 11.25." 
 
Up Next
Select Keydets will compete at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier on Wednesday, May 1, seeking qualifying times and marks for the NCAA Southeast Regional in late May. The Southern Conference Outdoor T&F Championships are slated for May 6-7 hosted by Samford in Birmingham, Alabama.
