Keydets perform well on second day of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – A third-place finish by the women's 4x100 team highlighted the second day of competition for VMI women's track and field at the Penn Relays contested Friday at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

The foursome of SeMore Green, Heaven Hall, Jennifer Koumondji and Anijah James came in third place in 48.91 seconds for the top finish of the day for the VMI women.

Junior Eleyah Armstrong placed fifth in the long jump with a fifth-place distance of 5.82 meters, or 19' 1.25".

The 4x400 grouping of Green, Hall, Shea Hart and Alina LaForest came in ninth with a time of 4:03.62.

Other top performances
*Sophomore Taylor Hill finished 11th in the pole vault with a height of 3.60m, or 11' 9.75"
*Armstrong arrived in 11th in the 100m dash with a career-best time of 11.69 seconds
*Freshman Morgan Fraser achieved 13th place in the high jump at 1.55 meters
*Jenna Kirkland threw a distance of 37.89m (124' 3") in the discus to place 22nd overall
*Sophomore Shea Hart came in 31st place in the 100m hurdles in 15.03 seconds
