Last Time Out: VMI 113, Virginia University of Lynchburg 51
Looking to get back in the win column, the VMI basketball team accomplished the task at hand by taking down Virginia University of Lynchburg in dominant fashion, 113-51, this past Tuesday night at Cameron Hall.

The 62-point margin of victory is VMI's largest margin of victory since defeating Christendom by 76 points in a 96-20 win in Lexington in November of 2019. The Keydets took the reins from the start and jumped to a 31-11 lead midway through the opening half. VMI never put on the brakes en route to a 60-23 advantage at the half led by 13 points by sophomore guard Maurice Wright, Jr., who tied his career high in 20 minutes of play.

VMI eventually built a 64-point lead in the final moments of the contest on its way to victory, spurred early in the second half with a 17-0 run.
