LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI Rifle Team will continue its busy fall stretch on Saturday as they will face off against Wofford and John Jay at Kilbourne Hall.
The four teams will open up the action at 8:00 a.m.

Last Time Out
The women's team has been on a roll this season, breaking its own team aggregate record in each outing, shooting a program-best 4534 against The Citadel last week. Sophomore Darian Tweedell has paced the women's team with an aggregate average of 1136, boasting an air rifle average of 580. Overall, senior Christopher Hicks leads the mixed team with an aggregate of 1159 through three matches, shooting a 1162 to finish second overall while winning the smallbore with a score of 574.
Scouting Wofford
The Terriers have had two outings thus far, facing off with UAB before topping MIT. Oliver Guthrie is the teams' leading scorer, averaging a 1131 aggregate. As a team, Wofford has averaged a 4494 aggregate this season.
Scouting John Jay
Like Wofford, John Jay has competed twice in the fall of 2024, falling to Army and Norwich on October 5 before coming up short against Akron on the 19th. Danny Clanning leads John Jay, averaging 1124.5 with a team-high 570.5 in the air rifle.
