SCOUTING THE TERRIERS – Picked to finish eighth in the Southern Conference, Wofford is 0-3 thus far on the season, with a loss coming at FBS Pittsburgh, at William & Mary (No. 5, FCS) and against Presbyterian. The Terriers are under the guidance of Shawn Watson, who took over as interim head coach in the middle of last season before being named full-time head coach in December. While Wofford's first two contests came at FBS Pittsburgh and top-10 William & Mary, before falling to Presbyterian at home. As a team, Wofford is being outscore 30.3-11.0 through three games, averaging 98.3 yards on the ground and 99.0 in the air. Ryan Ingram is the lead back with 139 yards and a touchdown, while John Michael DiRoberto leads the defense with 26.0 tackles and a break up.

THE SERIES – The series has been a close one over the years, with Wofford holding a slight 14-12 edge all-time. Last season, the Terriers defended home field with a 34-16 win, snapping a VMI two-game win streak in the process. Home field has proven to be a big factor, as the Keydets are 11-6 at Foster Stadium in the series. In last year's matchup, Chane Knox had 55 yards on six catches, while Isaiah Lemmond caught a 52-yard touchdown.
