Day 1 Results
Day 1 Multis Results

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Led by the throwers, the VMI men's track and field team got off to a great start to the 2023 outdoor season with personal bests Thursday night at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational hosted by the City of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

VMI Director of Track and Field Zack Scott
"Our men's team started the season with two personal-best performances in the hammer throw.  Andrew Granger put the men's team on the scoring board with six points with a throw of 55.23m after finishing third behind two Duke athletes.  Herbert Brooks also started the season with two personal-best tosses over 47m with a final mark of 47.79m. After two events - the 10,000 and hammer throw - the men are in fifth place.

"Personal bests are always a good way to start off the season. Friday is when we will see how well we line up on the track and in the field events."
