COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (
CSCAA) announced Friday that both the VMI men's and women's swimming & diving teams have earned Scholar All-America honors for their efforts in the classroom last semester. The Keydet women's team earned the honor after posting a GPA of 3.17, while the men combined for a GPA of 3.02.

The
CSCAA selected 803 teams from 479 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2022 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their Fall 2022 grade point averages and represent 19,426 student-athletes.
"This recognition is a strong testament to the hard work these athletes put in to their academics," said diving coach Col. Tom Timmes. "Both squads do a great job motivating each other and encouraging each other to strive for excellence in the classroom and in the pool."
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the first organization of college coaches in America - is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
