LEXINGTON, Va. – Due to the threat of inclement weather this weekend, the upcoming VMI/Holy Cross baseball series in Gray-Minor Stadium has been altered.
Originally slated for one game Friday, a doubleheader Saturday and a single game Sunday, the doubleheader has been moved up to Friday at 3 p.m. The twinbill will be seven innings for the opener and nine for the nightcap. Saturday's (1 p.m.) and Sunday's (1 p.m.) start times remain unchanged.
VMI has scored 27 runs thus far in its four games. First baseman
Grayson Fitzwater has started out his collegiate career very strong at the dish, hitting .545 with six runs scored and five walks.
Ty Swaim has a .313 average with eight runs scored, a home run, and four walks.

Jimmy Koza and
Cole Jenkins have also hit longballs this year.
