Fitzwater surpasses 200 career RBIs in series opener

LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Baseball began the Southern Conference series with Wofford Thursday night at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium.
 
The Keydets (22-7, 1-3 SoCon) were run-ruled by the Terriers (20-10, 4-0 SoCon), 16-5. VMI's highlight was Grayson Fitzwater, who hit the 200 career RBI milestone, the first-ever Keydet to reach 200 RBI, 50 home runs, and 50 doubles in their career.

- VMI plated five runs off eight hits.
- Fitzwater went two-for-two with three RBIs, two runs, and two walks.
- Cole Raile tallied a pair of hits.
