LANCASTER, Pa. – The VMI wrestling team led in both matches, but fell to both Bloomsburg University (27-12) and Franklin & Marshall College (21-14) Sunday in non-conference dual matches hosted by F&M.
VMI highlights:
*Freshman Patrick Jordon pinned his opponent from Bloomsburg at 141 pounds in just 28 seconds to put VMI ahead 9-3
*Dyson Dunham (133) and Josh Evans (197) were also winners against Bloomsburg
*Tony Burke started off the match against F&M with a 7-5 sudden victory
*Ryan Vigil and Josh Yost each had major decision wins against the Diplomats at 149 and 157, respectively
*Braxton Lewis won 9-4 at 174 to give the Keydets a 14-9 lead vs. F&M
Next Time:
*VMI will be busy next weekend, with two dual matches Friday at Kent State and the Cleveland State Open on Saturday.
