LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI junior defender
Drew Menges was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division I Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team Tuesday for his efforts on the field as well as the classroom.
Menges was one of four Keydets to play all 19 games and had 15 starts in the backfield. The Fallston, Md. native scored a goal at Mary Baldwin University and was third on the team with 1,292 minutes.
He is a mechanical engineering major.
"I am thrilled to learn of Drew being recognized for his accomplishments in the classroom," said VMI head coach
Nick Regan. "Being an Engineering major is difficult enough, but to perform like he has, on the field and in the classroom, it's a testament to Drew's attitude and work ethic."
