LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI wrestling team has an important weekend ahead with two Southern Conference matches scheduled, the first on the road and the second at home. 

The Keydets travel west on Friday to compete at Bellarmine University (Ky.) at 7 p.m. and return home to face Campbell University Sunday at 2 p.m. VMI Hall of Fame coach Ike Sherlock, at the helm of the program from 1978-85, will be honored in a ceremony between the fifth and sixth matches.  

Last Time: 
Sophomore Josh Evans won his match at 285 pounds Sunday to break a tie and lift the VMI wrestling team to a 20-17 win at Presbyterian College in a SoCon contest. The Keydets earned 11 team points with a pin from freshman Braxton Lewis at 165 in 4:28 and a 17-0 technical fall in 2:55 from senior Job Chishko at 157.
