BOSTON, Mass. – VMI senior London Yerasimides was named the America East Female Diver of the Week for the week of January 17.

At Liberty University Friday, Yerasimides scored 216.80 points in the 1 meter dive to win the event and had 227.85 points in the 3M. She took fourth in the 3 meter dive, setting a new personal record.

"London is a true competitor, and she continues to challenge herself to learn more difficult dives," said VMI diving coach COL Tom Timmes. "As the women's team captain, her leadership during the team's early return winter training has made the team more prepared for the rest of the season."

"This is huge honor for London," said head coach Scott Thacker. "I am impressed and proud of all the hard work she has put in on the boards this season and am really excited to see her continue to put up great dives through the remainder of the of her 1^st class campaign."
