Baber, Liselli Named to All-Tournament Team

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Following a solid outing against #11-ranked and No. 1 seed Jacksonville at last week's Southern Conference Tournament, VMI lacrosse freshman defender Alex Baber and sophomore goalie Jack Liselli were named to the All-Tournament Team Saturday by a vote from the four participating schools' head coaches.

Baber accounted for three groundball pickups and four caused turnovers against the Dolphins, helping to limit the potent Jacksonville offense to 13 goals in the 13-5 loss in the semifinal round. The 13 goals was half the amount the Dolphins scored against VMI in the first matchup this season, a 26-5 decision on April 16 at Drill Field No. 2.

In a complete game, Liselli registered 14 saves in 60 minutes of action to earn a .519 save percentage on the day after facing 47 Jacksonville shot attempts.
 
Luke Frankeny of Richmond was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after leading the Spiders to a 10-9 victory over the Dolphins and automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
