Rusterucci, Levin to play in USILA Senior All-Star Game

LEXINGTON, Va. – Following a tremendous 2025 lacrosse season, VMI lacrosse players Luke Rusterucci and Damian Levin have been selected to compete in the USILA Senior All-Star Game.
 
The game will take place Friday, May 23, at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. The Division I/II game will begin at 6:30 p.m. shortly after the Division III game.

Rusterucci, who was recently named a USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American recipient, scored 42 goals on the season – a career high – which marks the fifth highest single season total in VMI program history. The Peachtree City, Georgia, native tallied 32 assists on the year – second highest in program history for a single season – to combine for 74 points, which broke the single season points record held by David Hope (72) from the 1988 season.
 
Rusterucci is the only Keydet in program history to reach the century mark in both career goals (125) and assists (109). He finished third in the NCAA this season in points per game at 5.29, and led VMI to the No. 2-ranked scoring offense in the nation at 14.64 goals per game, a new school single season record.
 
Levin led the Northeast Conference and ranked fifth in the NCAA in saves per game at 14.07. His nearly 60 percent (.599) save percentage topped the NEC and ranked third overall in the NCAA after posting 197 saves in 807 minutes played for the year. The Hauppage, New York, native registered a goals-against average of 9.81 for the season, the best in the league and 20th overall in the country.
 
Rusterucci and Levin played an instrumental role in guiding the graduating senior class of 2025 to 27 wins over their VMI careers the past four seasons – all Division I wins. The closest to the mark was the 1995 class which totaled 19 Division I wins. The 1995 class finished with 27 wins over four seasons, which the VMI class of 2025 matched in the season finale 15-12 win over LIU on April 26.
