Taeshaud Jackson, Jr. Inks with VMI Basketball

LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI basketball head coach Andrew Wilson announced Tuesday afternoon the signing of small forward Taeshaud Jackson, Jr.

A native of Littleton, Colorado, Jackson spent this past academic year at the Southern California Academy, a prep school based in San Fernando, California.

In Colorado, Jackson prepped at Dakota Ridge High School (Littleton, Colo.) and played AAU ball for Knights Elite. He excelled academically and made the Honor Roll.

"We are excited to welcome Tae to the Keydet Basketball family," Wilson said. "He is physically gifted and has tremendous upside as he has only played basketball for a few years. Tae will bring excitement and energy every time he steps on the court. He is very eager to prove himself and we believe he will be an outstanding fit at VMI on and off the court."

He plans to major in Economics and Business at the Institute.

His father, Taeshaud Jackson, Sr., played professionally overseas. His uncle, Chris Copeland, saw time in the NBA, the NBA D-League and overseas.
