Throwers open Competition at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – The VMI men's throwers kicked off the 2022 outdoor season Thursday at the Paul Derr Track hosted by North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

In the javelin throw, Ty Wesenyak placed 29th overall with a distance of 50.61 meters and Ty Hevener was close behind in 30th at 46.41 meters.

Solomon Ghosh led the Keydets in the shot put with a distance of 14.42 meters for 38th place and Herbert Brooks came in 45th overall at 12.19 meters.

Action from the 2022 Raleigh Relays resumes Friday morning at the Paul Derr Track in Raleigh, North Carolina.
