LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI wrestling team looks to extend its winning streak to five matches Saturday as the Keydets host Fairmont State and Shenandoah Universities in Cormack Hall. VMI faces off with Fairmont at 11 a.m. and Shenandoah at 3, with the two opponents slated to wrestle in between at 1 p.m. 

The Keydets swept Franklin & Marshall College 24-15 and Duke University 28-9 in Cormack Hall on Sunday as part of the program's best start since in 26 years. Freshman Braxton Lewis had two decisive wins on the day at 165, one a technical fall and the second via pin. Senior Zach Brown also won twice Sunday with a pin in just 2:50 over his opponent from Franklin & Marshall at 184.

About Fairmont:
Fairmont is 4-8 on the season after dropping three matches at the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cat Quad Match on Saturday to King (Tenn.), the host school and Lake Erie. Aydan Edwards won two of his three matches at UPJ at 197 pounds. 

About Shenandoah: 
The Hornets fell 42-3 at Roanoke College Thursday. Dylan Weaver, the ODAC Wrestler of the Week last week, won his match 7-2 at 174 pounds.
