LEXINGTON, Va. - The VMI Rifle program hosted UAB and John Jay College on Saturday, with the mixed team placing second (4,520) and the women's side third (4454).
The aggregate score of 4,454 is a season high for the women's team, with
Maxine Gray-Barth and Katie Grochalski (1134) finishing fifth and seventh individually. Mirroring their aggregate finish, Gray-Barth and Grochalski (1129) posted scored of 558 and 557 in the Smallbore, while
Cassidy Dufour shot a program-best 578 in the Air Rifle.Â
On the men's side of things,
Ryan Harlow nearly posted the top smallbore score, with his 566 just 12 points shy of the number one smallbore mark for the day. Harlow set himself for a fourth-place finish in the aggregate (1135), two spots ahead of teammate
Christopher Hicks (1133).Â
The Keydets will be back in action in one week, hosting SoCon-rival Wofford on November 12.Â
