LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men's soccer team hosts Presbyterian College Saturday on Patchin Field at 1 p.m. in the 2021 home opener for the Keydets.

The Keydets are coming off a hard-fought 1-0 loss at Longwood University Tuesday. The Lancers scored midway through the second half and withstood a Keydet offensive attack soon after the goal. Senior goalie Broden Schull made five stops.

Presbyterian is 0-1-1 on the young season. The Blue Hose played to a 0-0 double overtime tie at home Monday against North Greenville on Senior Night.

Presbyterian has a 4-1-1 edge in the all-time series, dating back to 2007. The Keydet win was a 4-3 decision in 2010 after a hat trick by senior Brian Harding on Senior Day in front of a season-high 423 fans.

VMI travels to Northern Kentucky University Tuesday for a non-conference game at 1 p.m.
