LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men's soccer team faces a tough test Saturday evening as the Keydets travel to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) for a Southern Conference matchup.

The Spartans are coming off a huge upset of #2 Clemson University 3-1 on Tuesday. Theo Collomb scored twice for the Spartans to reach eight goals for the season. UNCG won the SoCon title last year and is currently 5-2-1 on the year. This is the Spartan's first conference game of the season.
VMI played well Tuesday but fell to visiting Howard University 4-0. The Keydets led in total shots (16-12) and corner kicks (5-1), while each team had eight shots on goal.
UNCG defeated VMI 4-0 last season in Lexington.
Broden Schull made 10 saves for the Keydets.
VMI (0-8) travels to Eastern Mennonite University on Tuesday for a non-conference game at 7 p.m.
