Keydets Host Bellarmine in Quick Turnaround

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI lacrosse team returns to Southern Conference action Saturday to face Bellarmine at noon at Drill Field No. 2.
 
The Keydets (1-6, 0-3) were even in shot attempts against Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday but lost a tough battle in the non-conference matchup. Senior Ryan Perouty registered a hat trick that put him over 70 goals for his career, becoming the 15th Keydet in VMI lacrosse history to attain the feat.
 
Sophomore Scout Ripley also finished with a hat trick, bringing his total to 16 goals on the season. Hartley Jordan has 12 for the year, with Perouty right behind with 10.
 
Freshman goalie Jack Liselli has 49 saves in five games played this season.
 
About the Knights (2-9, 0-3 SoCon)
Bellarmine won the last contest against VMI on March 9 that was slated as a non-conference matchup. The Knights lost a close game with High Point this past Saturday.
 
The Knights are led in goals by Landon Trout with 13 on the season. Goalie JC Higginbotham has 99 saves for the year.
