Lacrosse Hosts Cleveland State for Senior Day

LEXINGTON, Va. – For the final game of the year, the VMI lacrosse team will host Cleveland State for Senior Day on Saturday at noon at Drill Field No. 2.

Seniors Ryan Perouty, Brice Basic, Jon Fant, Josh Drake, Bill Osteen, Eric Lane, and Anthony Moran will each be recognized in a pre-game ceremony.

The Keydets (1-9, 0-6) finished their Southern Conference slate of games last week in a loss against Mercer. Josh Drake, Scout Ripley and Michael Santos each had two goals in the game.

Ripley leads the team in goals this season with 21, while Hartley Jordan has 12 and Fant, Perouty and Santos each have 11 on the season. Fant leads the team in assists with 19.

Goalie Bill Osteen has been the starter the last three games with 37 saves on the season.

About the Vikings (2-7)
Cleveland State won last time out against VMI earlier in the season. Vikings had a close loss to Utah last Saturday.

Chase Baker leads the Vikings in goals with 15 on the season. Goalie Kevin Sobey has gathered 108 saves for the year.
