Lacrosse Travels to the Air Force Academy

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI lacrosse team will travel to the Air Force Academy on Saturday at Cadet Lacrosse Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Faceoff is set for a 1 p.m. EDT start.

The game will be broadcast on YouTube and available for live stats.

The Keydets (1-7, 0-4) are coming off a close battle with Bellarmine, which VMI led going into the fourth period. VMI had seven different goal scorers, with Michael Santos and Tim Lindenbaum each scoring two.

Senior Jon Fant had a career-high four assists in the game, bringing his season total to a team-high 14 assists.

Senior Bill Osteen got the start for goalkeeper and registered nine saves in the loss.

Air Force lost a Southern Conference matchup against Jacksonville on Saturday.

The Falcons are led in goals by Ethan Garndolfo (12) and August Johnson (11). Goalies Braden Host and Jason Rose combine for 105 saves on the season.
