LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI-Robert Morris football  game scheduled for September 5 in Moon Township, Pa. will not be played this fall.
 
Robert Morris announced Wednesday that it has suspended its football fall season following the announcement that the Big South Conference will move fall sports to spring, 2021. The Colonials joined the Big South as an associate football member in 2020.
 
Prior to the cancellation, the VMI-Robert Morris game had been slated to be VMI's 2020 football opener.
