LEHIGH, Pa. – After taking a close 10-8 loss to open the 2020 season last week at Manhattan, the VMI lacrosse team resumes action on the road with a game at No. 18 Lehigh Thursday evening at the Ulrich Sports Complex in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Junior attack
Ryan Perouty is ranked No. 22 in the NCAA with the most consecutive games with at least one point tallied as he currently has 27 in a row. Over this span since the start of his freshman year, the Houston, Texas native has logged 79 points (55 goals, 24 assists). He scored two against the Jaspers last Saturday.

John Daniel and junior
Josh Bass also scored two in the game at Manhattan last week while
Jon Fant and
Michael Santos each registered one goal.
Junior goalkeeper
Bill Osteen recorded five saves in the loss.
About No. 18 Lehigh
The Mountain Hawks opened the season with a 16-11 victory over the University of Utah to open the season on Feb. 8 before taking a close 12-8 loss to No. 2 Virginia this past weekend in Charlottesville.
Tommy Schelling leads the team with 10 goals on the season to go with three assists for a team-high 13 points. Christian Mule is second on the team with four goals, Ryan Klose third with three and Andrew Pettit and Andrew Eichelberger both have two apiece. Schelling leads in shot attempts with 18 on the year while Pettit has taken 14.
Conor Gaffney leads the team in groundballs with 15 to this points and Anthony Tangredi leads the Hawks with five caused turnovers through two games.
James Spence has played all but one minutes so far and has tallied 26 saves on 86 shots faced. He owns a goals-against average of 11.11 and .542 save percentage.
