VMI Basketball SoCon Slate Revealed

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – With the Southern Conference releasing its 2020-21 basketball schedule Tuesday afternoon, the VMI league slate has also been revealed.

SoCon action will begin Wednesday, Dec. 30 and will feature two contests per school per week until wrapping up on Saturday, Feb. 27. The SoCon's 10 men's basketball teams will all play double-round-robin, 18-game intraleague schedules, totaling 90 league contests.

Due to coronavirus concerns, schools have been given the latitude to change game dates with the approval of both programs' directors of athletics and the conference office.

Of note, only the Southern Conference portion of the VMI basketball schedule has been released. VMI's schedule against non-league opponents will be released at a later date.

The Keydets tip off conference play at Samford on Dec. 30 before playing their first league home game on Saturday, Jan. 2 versus Chattanooga.

For the final week of the regular season, VMI will play host to ETSU on Feb. 24 before traveling to Chattanooga on Feb. 27.

The Ingles SoCon Basketball Championships presented by General Shale will be contested March 5-8 in Asheville, North Carolina.
