How to Follow
Fans can follow along with the meet via live results provided by lancertiming.com.
What is the IC4A?
The IC4A (Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America) Championships are the ECAC's title meets in men's cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field. Meanwhile, the ECAC is the Eastern College Athletic Conference, a multi-divisional conference that includes some 300 schools, many of which belong to other conferences as their main affiliation.
Keydets Competing
Aron Long (4X100-Meter Relay, 200-Meters)
Long was one of the main stories for the Keydets at the SoCon Championships, as he ran a 21.33 200-meters to win the league's crown in that event. He will also run the 4X1 relay after finishing second in the 100 at the conference meet.
Jacob Lysher (800-Meters, 4X400-Meter Relay)
After missing a year due to health issues, Lysher returned this outdoor season and made the 800-meter final at the SoCon Championships. His IC4A qualifying effort came at the Appalachian State Open in early May.
Avery Martin (1,500-Meters, 4X400-Meter Relay)
Martin is the closest Keydet to advancing to the East Preliminary Round at the end of this month, as he ranks 62nd in the East after his 3:46.14 1,500-meter time at Appalachian State two weeks ago. 3:45.43 currently stands as the 48th-fastest time, but many of the top 1,500-meter runners traditionally declare in another event, whether it be the 5K or the 800-meters. That could open the door for Martin's current time to advance him to Jacksonville.
Jordan White (Shot Put)
White had a disappointing SoCon meet, fouling on each of his throws and has not competed in the shot put since then. He was 16th in this event indoors.
Davon Guerrier (110-Meter Hurdles, 4X100-Meter Relay)
Guerrier, the true freshman, ranks 44th in the IC4A in his best event, the 110-meter hurdles.
Julian Jackson (4X100-Meter Relay, 4X400-Meter Relay)
Jackson, one of the team leaders for the last two seasons, wraps up his career here by participating in both of the VMI relays. Jackson was fourth in the SoCon in the open 400 at the outdoor meet.
Pete Reed (4X100-Meter Relay), Andrew Gould (4X400-Meter Relay)
Reed and Gould will be the final members of VMI's two relays.
Bria Anderson (Long Jump, 4X100-Meter Relay)
Anderson, VMI's breakthrough performer of the SoCon Championships, will take part on her first ECAC meet. Her 19'6" jump that won the league ranks 64th in the East Region and, with 2-3 more inches, could make a bid to qualify to the Preliminary Round Meet.
Kerisha Goode (200-Meters, 4X100-Meter Relay)
Goode, who finished third in both the 100 and 200 at the conference meet, will compete in her first ECAC meet here.
Mia McClain, Yaa Agyepong-Wiafe (4X100-Meter Relay)
McClain and Agyepong-Wiafe are the remaining two legs of the 4X100-meter relay that has broken the school record twice this year, finished third in the conference and qualified to the ECAC meet for the first time ever.
