CENTREVILLE, Mass. - Just hours after being named the Big South Player of the Week, VMI shortstop Sam Roberts was tabbed the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week as well.

Roberts led the Keydets to a 4-0 week through his performances both at the plate and on the mound. The senior went 11-for-15 with six walks, good for a .783 on-base percentage. His offensive output included: one home run, nine RBI, eight runs scored and six stolen bases. On the mound, Roberts recorded a save in one of the Keydets' wins over Charleston Southern and also notched two innings of scoreless relief against William & Mary.

VMI baseball is in action Tuesday night, taking on VCU at the Diamond in Richmond. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
