Keydets End Regular Season at Virginia Tech Invitational

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The VMI men's swimming and diving team closed out its regular season Sunday, taking part in the final day of the Virginia Tech Invitational in Christiansburg, Va.

The Keydets competed in just one of the six events contested Sunday, but sent eight swimmers into action in the 100-yard freestyle. Matt Dale was VMI's top finisher, placing sixth with a time of 50.75, while Sam Halter placed seventh in 51.34.

Also in action were Thomas Brown (ninth), James Wiltshire (10th), Ben Zaepfel (11th), Will Shehan (12th), Justin Britto (13th) and John Curl (14th).

The Keydets will return to action Feb. 17, competing in the opening day of the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Championships, held at the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
