LEXINGTON, Va. ? The VMI wrestling team held its Red/White Intrasquad Scrimmage Friday night at the Thunderdome.

Twelve matches were contested at weight levels ranging from 133 lbs. to 197 lbs., and VMI head coach John Trudgeon was pleased with the results, which are listed below in full.

“I was impressed by our tenacity tonight,” stated the VMI head man. “Once again, we need to make some technical improvements, but that is to be expected because we have such a young squad. Our guys all wrestled hard tonight, and we came out better for it, because in the long run, the more matches we have, the better off we'll be.”

The VMI wrestling team will return to action Sunday, as the Keydets travel to Salem to take part in the Hokie Open, held at the Salem Civic Center.
