Biography

THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN - Returning starter at inside linebacker…leading returning tackler…expected to contend for all-conference consideration…should be a leader on the defensive unit. Plays with high-intensity and emotion…earned “Red Yellow” award conditioning status and was one of 14 to achieve that distinction…has 130 career tackles.

2012 - Led VMI defense in tackles in 2012 with 87 tackles…ranked fourth overall in the Big South in tackles per game with 7.9…posted double-digit tackle games against Liberty (12), The Citadel (11) and Presbyterian (10)…recovered a fumble against Presbyterian…credited with nine tackles in both the Coastal Carolina and Gardner-Webb games…lettered for the third time.

2011 - Played in all 11 games for the second consecutive season and lettered…had nine tackles and 20 assists on the season…had five tackles against Akron with a half tackle-for-loss (-2 yards) and a forced fumble...posted four tackle games against William & Mary and Stony Brook…finished the season with a bang with a season-high seven tackles and a tackle-for-loss…racked up a 13-yard sack against Richmond and forced a fumble…cited by staff for outstanding effort in the William & Mary and Richmond games…on the field for 238 plays during the year.

2010 - Played in the first four games at inside linebacker and also contributed on special teams…had four solos and six assists…logged three tackles against Lock Haven and Virginia…credited with a sack for one yard against Presbyterian and forced a fumble in that game.

2009 - Saw action in all 11 games in a reserve and special teams role…played the most in the James Madison game where he saw 27 plays of action…had three tackles and one assist on the season.
