Neuwirth was promoted on March 25, 2024.

VMI Athletics announced the hiring of Skylar Neuwirth as Assistant Director of Athletics Equipment and Services on June 21, 2023.

A recent graduate of Northern Colorado, Neuwirth comes to Lexington with equipment management experience in football, baseball and hockey. At the University of Northern Colorado, Neuwirth performed equipment inventories, assigned equipment, instructed equipment usage, delegated to work staff and helped train workers.

Working through the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA), Neuwirth is a Certified Athletic Equipment Manager (2022).

A native of Peyton, Colorado, Neuwirth graduated from Northern Colorado in May, earning a bachelor's degree in biological sciences.
