TWO-YEAR LETTERMAN – Was moved to the offensive line late last season and continued in that role in spring practice...one of the most athletic linemen on the team and will be a welcomed asset on the offensive line...worked out at left tackle and will join converted D-lineman Ben Brandt in that spot to give the Keydets a solid left side of the offensive line...worked hard in off-season conditioning.

2007 - Started the year at defensive end and moved to the offensive line late in the year to give depth as the O-Line encountered a rash of injuries...also played special teams and earned his second varsity letter.

2006 - Logged stats in nine games and finished with 16 tackles on the season including nine solo stops...started the last five games of the season at defensive tackle...had a season-high four tackles at Gardner-Webb including a tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry...broke up passes against Coastal Carolina and Charleston Southern...had three-tackle games against William & Mary and Coastal Carolina and also a tackle for loss against Liberty...lettered for the first time.

2005 - Did not see game action.

HIGH SCHOOL - A graduate of Tallwood High School in Virginia Beach, Va...Served as team captain and played both tight end and defensive end...also lettered in basketball one year playing both center and power forward.

PERSONAL - Full name is Nicholas Ross Mims...Psychology major.
