Biography

THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN - Will serve as team captain in 2007...Working hard to get into playing form after sitting out most of spring due to injury...a veteran upperclassman who will be counted on to be a leader among a young group of running backs...has a good knowledge of the offense and is versatile enough to play a number of different positions...tough inside but can be explosive and break open the big one...the most experienced running back returning to the team...listed on the post-spring depth chart as a starter at slotback.

2006 – Finished the year with 159 yards rushing and one touchdown on a year that was shortened by injury...rushed for 29 yards on four carries against Norfolk State but was sidelined on the last series in the game with a leg injury and did not return until the Army game in week six...gradually showed the form that has made him a top ground-gainer as the season progressed and gained a season-high 55 yards on five carries and ripped off a 39-yard touchdown run against The Citadel...also caught two passes for 33 yards on the season and hauled in a 22-yard touchdown pass against Norfolk State...lettered for the third time.

2005 - Led the team in rushing with 622 yards and reached the endzone eight times which also led the team...was the top ground-gainer for the Keydets in seven of 11 games...rushed for a season-high 149 yards on 32 carries with two touchdowns against Gardner-Webb, both marks stood as a season-high by a VMI back...scored two touchdowns and rushed for 96 yards against Charleston Southern...had a season-long 47-yard rush against Wofford, which was the longest of the year by a VMI back... caught 20 passes for 68 yards which ranked third on the team...completed two of two passes for 71 yards including a 40-yarder...lettered for the second time.

2004 - Played in 10 of 11 games, missing only the JMU game because of a knee sprain...worked himself into the two-deep at tailback and earned his first varsity letter...finished second on the team in rushing with 197 yards on 40 carries with two touchdowns also caught nine passes for 56 yards...rushed for a season-high 87 yards on 14 carries and a one-yard TD against Charleston Southern...also had a one-yard TD run at Gardner-Webb...caught four passes for 25 yards at William & Mary.

HIGH SCHOOL - A graduate of Massaponax High School in Fredericksburg, Va....Named team offensive player of the year after rushing for 1,260 yards and 26 TD’s while passing for 725 yards with 8 TD’s as a quarterback...played receiver, cornerback, and quarterback in high school...named area player of the year and also was an all-region QB two years and all-district selection as a receiver two years...finished his career with over 2000 rushing yards, 2000 passing yards, and 700 receiving yards...scored 60 career touchdowns.
