THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN – Will get the opportunity to start at inside linebacker this fall after serving as a capable reserve the last three years…slated to start at “Mike” ILB…had a great spring game and posted five tackles with a sack for five yards…looking to finish up with a big senior campaign.
2013 – Played in 11 of 12 games and lettered for the third time…missed only the season finale against Bucknell… saw action at reserve linebacker and special teams…posted a season-high five tackles against Glenville State…had tackles-for-loss against Charleston Southern and Gardner-Webb…intercepted a pass which halted a drive against Gardner-Webb.
2012 – Played in all 11 games and was on the field for 380 total plays playing at reserve inside linebacker and on special teams…finished with 35 total tackles and had four-for-loss (-9 yards)…had seven tackles against Richmond and six tackles against Coastal Carolina…credited with two tackles-for-loss against Charleston Southern…lettered for the second time.
2011 - Played in 10 games and lettered as a true freshman…saw most action on special teams…did not get on the field for the opener but made his college debut one week later against William & Mary…was in action for 73 plays on the season.
HIGH SCHOOL - A graduate of Mountain Brook High School in Mountain Brook, Ala...three-year starter with over 340 tackles...helped lead his team to the district semifinals his senior year...played in the AL/MS All Star game in Mobile December 2010...2010 Birmingham News All-Metro, Birmingham South All-Metro, South Lineman of the Year and Over the Mountain Football Team...permanent Team Captain for Mountain Brook...honoree at the 2010 Best in High School Football Pat Patrick Promotions Award Banquet...Birmingham All-Metro Team junior year, after having 127 tackles & one TD...awarded "Outstanding Athlete" his freshman year when he played football & baseball...member of Carpenter Hands Ministry through his church.
