THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN - One of the proven and experience veterans on the defensive unit…projected as the starter again at one outside linebacker slot…adapted well to outside linebacker position last year…will be a key part of the Keydet pass rush package again…continues to raise the bar in off-season conditioning and attained Super Iron Keydet status for the second consecutive year, setting a new team record with a 337 clean…finished the spring workouts with a good final scrimmage and had a sack for nine yards.
2009 - Moved to outside linebacker from strong safety before fall camp and played in all 11 games seeing 584 snaps…lettered for the third time…had 34 tackles and was third on the team in tackles-for-loss with 6.0 for 22 yards and led the team in sacks with 4.0 for 15 yards….had six tackles against James Madison with two sacks…also had six stops against Robert Morris…logged five tackles at Army with a tackle for loss for five yards and a half-sack for four yards…had four tackles with a seven-yard sack against Coastal Carolina…credited with two quarterback hurries against Liberty.
2008 - Started all 11 games at strong safety...ranked sixth on the team in tackles with 49...made six tackles including one for loss for two yards against Gardner-Webb...blocked a kick against Coastal Carolina...recovered a fumble at William & Mary...combined on a tackle-for-loss for one yard as one of his five stops against Saint Francis.
2007 - Practiced with the squad but did not see game action.
2006 - Made two starts (JMU and Army) at outside linebacker...also played special teams and lettered...finished the year with 22 tackles...had a season-high four solo tackles, two assists, and recovered a fumble against William & Mary.
HIGH SCHOOL - A graduate of Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake, Va....as a senior, totaled 60 tackles, 250 rushing yards, five pass deflections, averaged about 7.5 yards per carry...Honor Roll student...First Team District (MLB)... Second Team All-Tidewater (MLB)...lettered three years in football, two years in basketball and one year in track...game captain several times.
